Girls on the Run Vermont is proud to announce and welcome our new staff members: Richele Young, Jessica Lubas and Callie Ginter.
Richele of Winooski, our new Communications & Development Specialist, comes to us from KW Vermont. Richele has a rich background in graphic design, marketing and communications. She is an Adirondack native who earned her B.A. from The College of St. Rose in Albany, NY. She enjoys exploring the Burlington area, hiking with her two huskies and traveling in her free time.
Jessica Lubas of Burlington, is our new Northern Program Coordinator. She is passionate about making active living accessible on the community level. She solidified this focus while studying infrastructure design and public health at Ithaca College. Jessica coached Girls on the Run for three years and loved creating a unique, supportive community with each team. She has worked extensively with New Jersey’s Safe Routes to School program to create safer streets for families. Jessica is also a road cycling instructor and has facilitated workshops for thousands of children and adults.
Callie Ginter of Brattleboro, is our new Southern & Central Program Coordinator. Callie studied at Castleton University where she earned her degree in Journalism. She has coached youth sports and volunteered helping the homeless in her home state of New Hampshire. In her free time, Callie is a competitive bodybuilder, hiker and dog-belly-rubber! She loves spending her time with her family, friends and enjoys good food!
Girls on the Run Vermont is an independent and 501(c)(3) recognized council of Girls on the Run International, which has a network of over 220 councils across the United States. For twenty years, Girls on the Run Vermont has empowered over 45,000 Vermont girls’ grades 3-8 to develop physical, emotional and social well-being through a 10-week after school program held at over 160 sites statewide and encouraged by more than 800 volunteer coaches. Its mission is to inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a research-based curriculum that addresses developmentally appropriate life skills and creatively integrates running, stretching, and strengthening exercises.
