NBT Bank New England President Matthew Durkee recently announced NBT hired Michael Posternak as a branch manager for the bank’s Burlington Office. Posternak has 18 years of experience in the financial services industry, starting as a market manager for the Chittenden Bank in St Albans in 2001. Prior to joining NBT, he spent eight years working as a branch manager in Ottawa, Ontario Canada.
Posternak, a resident of South Burlington, received a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Spanish from the University of Vermont. Active in his community, he is a past director of the West Ottawa Board of Trade in Ottawa, and a past Treasurer of the United Way of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry in Cornwall, Ontario. Posternak has also been involved with Rotary International, where he served as the charter president (founder) of the Deerfield Valley Rotary Club in Wilmington, VT.
