AllEarth Renewables welcomes Mullett as General Counsel

AllEarth Renewables, Inc of Williston VT announced today that David Mullett has joined the company’s senior management team as General Counsel. Mullett, of East Montpelier, comes to AllEarth with four decades of experience in energy and regulatory law, proven strategic leadership in regional and national organizations, and a lifelong commitment to renewable energy. His diverse background is perfect for AllEarth Renewables, the award-winning Vermont-based solar tracker manufacturer.

A 1981 graduate of Franklin Pierce Law Center, (now University of New Hampshire School of Law), Mullett joins AllEarth Renewables after running a successful private practice in Montpelier and after having previously been part of Vermont law firms Cheney, Brock, Saudek and Mullett, PC and Lynn, Lynn, Blackman & Manitsky, PC. As Special Counsel to the Vermont Department of Public Service in 1987-88, he represented the interests of Vermont utility ratepayers in regulatory proceedings. As Associate General Counsel of the Public Service Board thereafter, he advised the state utility regulatory commission and served as a hearing officer in contested regulatory matters.

Following two decades of private practice, Mullett served as the executive leader of Vermont Public Power Supply Authority (a joint action agency for municipal utility members), and as a Board member and Governance Committee Chair for Vermont Electric Power Company (VELCO) from 2010 to 2016. Mullett is a former selectboard member, planning commission member, school board member and chair, and cemetery commissioner in Vermont communities, and served as pro bono counsel for several years to what was then the Vermont Network Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault.

“We are extremely fortunate to have David Mullett as part of the AllEarth family," said David Blittersdorf, president and CEO of AllEarth Renewables, Inc. “David Mullett and I first worked together in the 1990s, and in the time since we have developed a deep bond over the course of many exciting and challenging projects. From AllEarth Rail’s plans for community passenger rail in Vermont, to the launch of new renewable projects and products, we know that David will be a valuable asset in helping to navigate the political and regulatory challenges that arise while driving change.”
