Pitcher Inn hires Common Man duo

Adam Longworth and Lorien Wroten are the new Executive Chef and General Manager, respectively, at The Pitcher Inn in Warren, Vermont. Most recently the two owned and operated The Common Man Restaurant, also in Warren. Inn owner Maggie Smith says that this is a significant milestone for the inn that has hosted travelers since the 19th century. “Our family is delighted to have the experienced hospitality duo of Adam and Lorien join our team. The inn prizes personalized guest service and fine dining above all else, and Adam and Lorien know how to make guests feel special and welcome.

“We’re looking forward to the collaboration, creativity and new ideas they will bring to The Pitcher Inn experience,” she says.

“When we hosted diners at The Common Man we always regarded The Pitcher Inn’s restaurant as a peer and friendly competitor,” says Adam Longworth. “Now we’re looking forward to bringing our hospitality and culinary ideas down the hill, right to the center of Warren.” Adam begins work September 15 in the inn’s kitchen and Lorien arrives October 1 to lead the front of the house.

The Pitcher Inn is a member of the prestigious Relais & Chateaux network of fine dining and lodging properties throughout the world, including just 85 inns and restaurants in North America. It offers 11 rooms and suites to guests and is home to two dining venues—the Main Dining Room and the more casual Tracks tavern. The inn is the centerpiece of Warren village, located directly across the Street from the iconic Warren Store.
