Stern Center welcomes Dr White to staff

The Stern Center for Language and Learning welcomed Jennifer White, PhD, to its staff as Learning Innovation Specialist July 1, 2018. Jennifer completed her Doctorate degree in Special Education in May from the University of Arizona with a minor in School Psychology. She has a Master of Arts in Reading and Learning Disabilities and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education.

As Learning Innovation Specialist, Jennifer will develop an online coaching prototype for Mindplay: Comprehensive Reading Course, and will facilitate coaching for classroom educators. She will also contribute to live and virtual Professional Learning opportunities, partnering with educators and school leaders to implement systems change in the area of literacy education by developing replicable delivery models grounded in the brain science related to reading.

Jennifer’s expertise in learning disabilities, early education, and multisensory structured language aligns with the Stern Center’s mission since 1983 of helping all learners reach their potential.
