At the Commencement Ceremony held at Basin Harbor Resort in Vergennes on June 2nd, Speaker of the House Mitzi Johnson congratulated the class on their hard work and accomplishments to date and offered wisdom for creating change as they continue their quests to better their communities and Vermont.
As Vermont’s preeminent leadership development program, the Vermont Leadership Institute (VLI) fosters ethical and transformative leadership, drawing on expert faculty from within Vermont and beyond, to create a learning environment that challenges participants to develop self-awareness and acquire knowledge and skills that result in strong and effective leadership. The Class of 2018 embarked on their leadership journey in September 2017 and met for a total of nineteen seminar days over eight sessions.
As the 23rd graduating class of the Vermont Leadership Institute, the Class of 2018 joins a professional network of over 900 Vermont Leadership Network alumni, including more than 500 VLI graduates who are making a difference in Vermont: leading innovative businesses, creating award-winning non-profits, serving in the legislature and state government, and volunteering in their communities.
