Attorney Sophie B Duffy has joined the northern New England law firm Downs Rachlin Martin PLLC, where she will practice in the Labor and Employment Law Group and work from the firm’s Brattleboro office. She comes to DRM after working for the Washington, DC law firm of Hogan Lovells US LLP, where she was based in the New York office and honed her skills in labor and employment law and commercial litigation.
“We’re very pleased to add Sophie to our Employment and Labor team,” said Timothy E Copeland, Jr, a director in the Labor and Employment Group at DRM working from the Brattleboro office. “She brings a unique set of skills and an energetic perspective to the practice that will benefit our clients. She’s excited to return to the state where she spent many summers as she grew up and is looking forward to serving clients in the area.”
Duffy is a magna cum laude graduate of Boston University and a high-honors graduate of the Benjamin N Cardozo School of Law. Prior to law school, she worked in Brooklyn as a web editor for an online contemporary art publication, and she worked as an advocate at the Courtroom Advocates Project and the Advanced Human Rights Clinic during law school.
