Krystyna Davenport Brown started work November 13 as Associate Vice President for Development. Most recently she was the Senior Director of Development for the Division of Student Affairs and Academic Support at the University of South Carolina. Prior to that she was in Austin, Texas at the University of Texas at Austin and Saint Edward's University. She moved to Austin from New York City where she worked at Fordham University and New York-Presbyterian Hospital in fundraising and development roles.
She currently lives in Shelburne, VT. Her husband, Jay, is a luthier (custom guitar maker) and a musician, and they have three children – a high school student at CVU and 3-year-old twin girls. "We love animals and have two dogs and a cat," she says " I enjoy music, reading and hiking." They are originally from Massachusetts “and are excited to be back in the Northeast,” Krystyna adds.
“The mission and purpose of a liberal arts Catholic education is extremely important to me. When you’re on campus, you can feel a philosophy where students, faculty and staff strive to be knowledgeable, empathetic and responsible. I hope to build upon the work being done in the office of Institutional Advancement to help raise funds for scholarship, facilities and the greatest needs of the campus community.” (photo Ethan Simmons)
