Jean Giard, President and CEO of Vermont Federal Credit Union (VFCU), is pleased to announce that Doug Fisher has joined the Credit Union as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Doug joins us from the Town of Essex where he was the Director of Administrative Services. Prior to his experience with the Town of Essex, Doug was a Managing Partner for RF Lavigne & Company, a local accounting firm.
He has extensive experience in the oversight and maintenance of accounting records, the development and management of financial systems, the preparation and implementation of the annual budget, and the audit of the Town financial statements. He is also a member of the Government Finance Officers Association and a graduate from Bentley College with a degree in accounting. Doug has been involved with the credit union for over 30 years including time served on the Supervisory Committee and the Board of Directors.
