Attorney O’Brien joins Downs Rachlin Martin PLLC

Attorney Evan J O’Brien has joined the northern New England law firm Downs Rachlin Martin PLLC, where he will practice in the Litigation Practice Group and work from the firm’s Burlington office. O’Brien joins DRM after two years with the New York firm of Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan LLP and a year as law clerk to Chief Judge Christina Reiss of the U.S. District Court for the District of Vermont. He also returns to the firm where he once served as a summer associate while in law school.

O’Brien holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Harvard University and earned his law degree at the University of Virginia School of Law, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif, an honor society for law school graduates. He participated in the Supreme Court Litigation Clinic and won a number of academic awards for the quality of his work.

“We know Evan well from his time here at the firm as a summer associate,” said Robert B Luce, chair of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group. “Since then, he has gone on to gain important experience in law school, with a quality law firm, and as a clerk in US District Court. We are fortunate to welcome attorneys of Evan’s ability early in their legal careers, and we hope he will be here for many years to come.”
