Girls on the Run Vermont announces staff appointments

Girls on the Run Vermont is pleased to announce several staff appointments: Rachel Desautels of Williston, VT has been promoted to Statewide Program Manager; Jenny Fuller of Burlington, VT has been promoted to Statewide Program Administrator and Sarah Levine of East Dummerston, VT has joined the organization as Central & Southern Vermont Program Coordinator.

Rachel joined Girls on the Run Vermont in 2014 as the Northern Vermont Program Coordinator. Recognized for her leadership and management strength, in her new role as Program Manager Rachel, will oversee the delivery of the Girls on the Run, award-winning curriculum statewide. Jenny joined Girls on the Run Vermont in 2015 as the Northern Vermont Program Administrator. As the main point of contact for coach volunteers throughout the State of Vermont, Jenny will oversee coach administration and provide coach support during the season. Sarah holds a BA in Psychology from Earlham College; she spent several years as an educator, counselor, and advocate for health and wellness promotion. A former participant in the program, Sarah brings a unique experience to Girls on the Run Vermont. Sarah can be reached at [email protected] or 802-246-1476.

Girls on the Run Vermont is an independent and 501 (c)(3) recognized council of Girls on the Run International (GOTRI), which has a network of over 220 councils across the United States. Since 1999, Girls on the Run Vermont has empowered over 44,000 Vermont girls grades 3-8 to develop physical, emotional and social well-being through a 10-week afterschool program held at over 160 sites statewide. Its mission is to inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a research-based curriculum that addresses developmentally appropriate life skills and creatively integrates running, stretching, and strengthening exercises.
