Community Bank N.A. is pleased to announce Erinn Perry, marketing coordinator, has been promoted to public relations and community outreach manager. In her expanded role, Perry will be responsible for managing the bank’s social media, media outreach efforts and community relations which includes overseeing Community Bank’s community involvement, volunteer efforts and social media small business spotlights across the bank’s four state footprint. Perry will continue to spearhead Community Bank’s footprint-wide Financial Literacy Program and its charitable programs and events such as Random Acts of Kindness, Good Neighbor Day and the bank’s canned food drives.
Perry has more than 15 years of banking experience and came to Community Bank when it acquired Merchants Bank in 2017. She has held various positions from community banking assistant to purchasing manager, facilities/operations assistant and personal banker.
In addition to her passion in the banking industry, Perry cares deeply about her community and spends countless hours volunteering. Her dedication, volunteerism and commitment to her profession, community and colleagues recently earned her the esteemed Vermont Bankers Association 2021 Woman of the Year Award. The annual award celebrates a woman in banking who excels at her profession, is active in the community and supports other females to reach their full potential, lifting them to succeed. Perry was presented the award during the fifth annual virtual Women in Leadership Conference on March 10.
Perry served as treasurer of the Underhill ID Elementary PTO for three years and currently volunteers her time with Spectrum Youth and Family Services, Lake Champlain Dragon Boat Festival, The DREAM Program, and EDD Adaptive Sports. For more than five years, she has supported Special Olympics Vermont as a volunteer & donor, participating in more than ten annual Penguin Plunges.
“Erinn always goes above and beyond with everything she does, and her commitment and can-do attitude is contagious,” said Community Bank Director of Marketing Dara Penny. “She is an incredible asset to our team, and we are thrilled to recognize her dedication, passion and marketing communications expertise with this exciting new role.”
Perry spends more than 120 hours a year volunteering throughout the community. Last year, she helped spearhead Community Bank’s $7,500 donation to the Williston Police Department in support of its Comfort K9 program. She also led the charge for Community Bank Trust’s team harvesting vegetables at Barber Farm in Jericho. The team spent an entire day collecting over 3,000 pounds of produce to share with Vermonters in need.
During these unprecedented times, Perry has found new ways to volunteer her time, working around the many restrictions the virus has placed on in-person volunteer opportunities by participating in virtual events and races such as Race to the Top of Vermont and the annual Dream Big 5K.
“Erinn always looks for new opportunities to help Vermont communities whenever she hears of a need—from families that are starting to charitable events to honor loved ones, to local recreation center events that need sponsorship or a short supply of turkeys for Thanksgiving,” said Community Bank Regional Manager Anita Bourgeois. “Erinn recognizes the needs of our communities and uses her leadership skills to be involved both personally and financially and we are thrilled she received the Vermont Bankers Association 2021 Woman of the Year Award. I can’t think of anyone more deserving of this great honor.”
Perry resides in Jericho with her husband Thomas and their son Joseph.
