Age Well welcomes new members to Board of Directors

Age Well, the leading experts and advocates for the aging population Northwestern Vermont, welcomed five new members to their Board of Directors. New board members include: David Carter (Senior Vice President and Senior Banker at People’s United Bank), Dr Kim Halladay (previous CEO of West Michigan’s Community Mental Health organization), Jim LeFerve (CEO of LeFevre & Associates), Dr Allan Ramsay (People’s Health & Wellness Clinic), and Sarah Tischler (Partner at Langrock Sperry & Wool, LLP).

David Carter brings over 20 years of relationship development experience in the fields of business and finance management to Age Well. He is currently a Senior Vice President and Senior Private Banker at People's United Bank in Burlington. Carter has served on many nonprofit boards, including the Helen Day Arts Center in Stowe, Burlington Chamber Orchestra and Kids Voting USA. Carter holds a BA (English) and a MA (English) from University of Cincinnati.

Dr Kim Halladay brings over 30 years of experience to Age Well in the field of community mental health. Halladay was the CEO of West Michigan's Community Mental Health organization for more than 20 years. He has served on many nonprofit boards, including the United Way, Area Agency on Aging, and the community hospital. Halladay holds a BA (liberal arts), MSW from Michigan State University and a MPA and PhD (social work) from the University of Denver.

Jim LeFevre was the Executive Director for Planned Parenthood of Northern New England, headquartered in Burlington, Vermont for 21 years. In 1995, he moved to the national organization (PPFA) in New York City for 11 years serving as Interim President and then as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Strategic Officer. Beginning in 2006, he founded LeFevre & Associates and has consulted with over 70 Vermont nonprofits, providing strategic planning, board governance and merger counsel.

Dr Allan Ramsay brings over 40 years of community health and medical experience with a strong background in hospice, palliative care and geriatrics. His affiliations include the American College of Physicians, American Academy of Family Physicians, and the American Academy of Hospice Palliative Medicine. Dr Ramsay has served on several nonprofit boards, including the Green Mountain Care Board, Visiting Nurses Association, and the Community Health Center (Burlington). He holds a MD from Emory University Medical School where he also completed his residency.

Sarah Tischler brings over 30 years of experience as an attorney to Age Well. Her practice is dedicated to estate planning, charitable giving, and the administration of trusts at Langrock Sperry & Wool. Tischler recently served as President of the Chittenden County Bar Association as well as the Vermont Bar Association Probate and Trust Law committee and has served on numerous boards in our community.
