Duvernoy named General Manager of Manchester Hampton Inn & Suites

Daniel Duvernoy has been named general manager of the 97-room Hampton Inn & Suites in Manchester. Scheduled to open in early summer, the project began construction on Rt. 7A in Manchester in June 2016. Duvernoy, a resident of Cambridge, NY, was recently the general manager of the Hampton Inn and Suites Saratoga Springs Downtown. At the property, he and his staff generated a record occupancy for the property. Prior to his appointment he was assistant general manager of the property from 2010 to 2015. Duvernoy started his hospitality career as assistant general manager of Extended Stay America in the Albany-Capital district.

One of Duvernoy’s early tasks in Manchester will include the establishment of management systems for the property and overseeing the startup operations. William Mullaney, president of Mullaney Hospitality Group and developer of the property said “Dan’s extensive experience working with Hilton and his in-depth knowledge of the Hilton Inn brand will help us to achieve a successful opening and ongoing operation of this hotel.” The 97-room Manchester property joins the Hampton by Hilton family of more than 2,100 Hampton Inn hotels. The hotel will participate in the HHonors loyalty program earning guests points for stays throughout the Hilton worldwide system.

The hotel architecture departs from the prototypical Hampton Inn design, with a style that incorporates local architectural themes and features including clapboard siding, pitched roof and colonial shutters.The Manchester Hampton Inn & Suites will offer both standard guest rooms and suites, along with a convenience shop, guest laundry, meeting spaces, business center, swimming pool and fitness center.

In commenting on his appointment, Duvernoy said “Manchester is at an exciting period in its development as a destination for the Northeast. I look forward to the challenges of integrating the Manchester Hampton Inn into the mix. We will be offering transient and group guests an experience that will keep them coming back to the area.”

Duvernoy’s background as a collegiate soccer player at Endicott College in MA will assist the new property in working with the town and other officials to attract quality tournaments to the area. The efforts to attract sports tournaments have been under way for more than a year. The goal is to increase year round business at lodging and restaurant establishments and shops in the Manchester region.
