Thierry Uwilingiyimana, was recently hired as Product Director of SchoolHack Solutions of Bristol, VT. “Thierry’s strong technical background combined with his deep understanding of learner-centered education and design thinking will add tremendous value to our team”, says David Lipkin, CEO of SchoolHack Solutions. As an edupreneur, Thierry comes to SchoolHack as a former-founder and leader of two education startups. He co-founded ClassTracks, Inc., an online vocabulary software for English Language Learners and students with limited English proficiency. Thierry also worked with founders of Acton Academy to develop a progressive elementary school built on Montessori principles.
Born in Rwanda, Thierry and his family came to the United States seeking asylum from their war-torn country. Thierry attended Stanford University where he studied software engineering, mechatronics, embedded systems & control systems. With several years in software development, Thierry earned his MBA in Entrepreneurship at the Acton School of Business in Austin, TX.
At SchoolHack, Thierry will manage the company’s product development strategy, build the technical team, and support business development activities. “Our expanding work with schools across the country requires us to focus on scalability and the seamless integration of LiFT with other systems. We are fortunate to have Thierry join the SchoolHack team at just the right time in our company’s development”, says Lipkin.
