HomeShare Vermont is pleased to announce Janice Szabo has joined the staff as Intake and Outreach Coordinator. The position serves as initial contact for potential participants, as well as creation of outreach and marketing campaigns to recruit candidates for specific housing opportunities through community posts, newsletters, advertising, social media and information sessions.
Szabo recently returned to Burlington after 12 years as public relations manager of the Aspen Music Festival and School and has also served as public relations and marketing director at the Shelburne Museum and the Vermont Symphony Orchestra.
“HomeShare Vermont leads the world in providing safe vetting for people who wish to share their home, which can be a boon for seniors. With availability of affordable housing at a minimum these days, homesharing offers a sustainable option, resulting in financial relief and priceless companionship. I’m excited and proud to be part of this movement,” said Szabo. Szabo lives in Burlington with her husband.
