Wilkins Harley-Davidson is Walk-Around Competition champion

Wilkins Harley-Davidson took home the New England Harley-Davidson Dealer Association (NEHDDA) Walk-Around Competition Championship for the second year in a row.

Each year, the New England Harley-Davidson Dealers Association hosts a competition where all the Harley-Davidson dealers compete in a walk-around competition. A walk-around competition is where a motorcycle salesperson interacts with a fictitious customer and presents all the features of a specific Harley-Davidson. Last year, Wilkins Harley-Davidson motorcycle salesperson Jon Sargent took home First Place in the competition. This year, 23-year-old Michael Grant, from Enosburg Falls, Vermont, on his second season took home top honors in New England. Grant competed in the finals at Mount Washington and was not given any advance notice as to the model or the customer.

“I have never been that anxious about anything in my life,” says Grant, “but I am part of the Wilkins family and not once did I find myself without support.” Wilkins Harley-Davidson has been ranked number one in New England by the Harley-Davidson Motor Company for over a Decade as it relates to customer satisfaction and the team trains daily on product knowledge and customer service. “There isn’t a moment during the day, night, or weekend that we aren’t connected in some way. Everyone works with each other, everyone trains with one another, and everyone pushes the other to be the best that they can be. I trained for weeks with my fellow Motorcycle Specialists to prepare for the competition. However, I can’t take all the credit for the win, much of the credit goes to Wilkins Harley-Davidson and the family.” “Mike and his fellow motorcycle specialists put a great deal of time and effort into preparing. What really sets them apart is that they train every single day to ensure our guests have the ultimate buying experience. The walk-around competition is just another day for them.” John Lyon, co-owner said.

In late August, Michael goes on to the National Walk-Around Championship in Boston where he competes against all the other dealers outside of New England.
