Experienced project manager rejoins SW Cole with a focus on client development

SW Cole Engineering, Inc. (SW COLE) welcomes Matthew T. Taylor, PG, back to the firm as a senior geologist. Taylor, who previously worked for SW COLE as a project manager from 1998 until 2007, returns in a senior position as the firm looks to strengthen its geoenvironmental capabilities.

Matt, a New England native, received his Bachelor’s degree in Geology from the University of New Hampshire, a Master’s in Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University and is a licensed Professional Geologist. He began his career at S.W.COLE, working in offices in Maine and New Hampshire. After leaving the firm in 2007, he served as a senior project manager at international consulting and engineering firm AMEC Foster Wheeler. In his new role at S.W.COLE, in addition to project management and technical work, Matt will be responsible for business development and client relations efforts to grow the geoenvironmental services in Vermont and New Hampshire. Matt is already active in many local professional associations, and he will be continuing his involvement in these groups.

“S.W.COLE is very excited to welcome Matt back to the firm,” said Chad Michaud, PE, Executive Vice President. “His experience in this industry, in this region and with S.W.COLE is indispensable as we expand our geoenvironmental services in Vermont and New Hampshire.”

S.W.COLE’s geoenvironmental consulting services include Phase I environmental site assessments, Phase II site investigation and characterization, groundwater monitoring and soil sampling, underground storage tank site assessments, geothermal ground source investigations, hydrogeology and engineering geology, resistivity and conductivity testing, subsurface stormwater soil assessments and other related services. S.W.COLE is an employee-owned firm of over 80 scientists, engineers and technicians providing geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing, geoenvironmental services and test boring explorations for projects throughout New England. Established in 1979, S.W.COLE has two offices in Vermont – in Williston and White River Junction – as well as six additional offices throughout New Hampshire and Maine.
