NBT Bank Regional President Matt Durkee announced that two Vermont business leaders have joined him on NBT Bank’s New England Advisory Board. They are: Dawn Terrill, President of Janitech, Inc., and David Holton, President of The Essex Agency.
“I welcome these business leaders to our advisory board and look forward to working with them,” Durkee said. “Their experience and knowledge of the business environment in Vermont will be valuable as we continue to expand on the strong foundation that NBT Bank has built in New England.”
In addition to business leaders from Vermont, the board consists of representatives from New Hampshire and Maine. Representing New Hampshire are: NBT Bank New Hampshire Regional President Stephen Lubelczyk; John-Michael Girald, Principal of Peloton Advisory, LLC; Douglas Martin, Principal and Vice President of Colliers International | New Hampshire; Harper Marshall, Shareholder at Devine Millimet and Branch PA; and Debby Miller, Vice President of External Relations for the New Hampshire Community Loan Fund. Representing Maine are: NBT Bank Maine Regional President Kim Twitchell; NBT Bank Executive Vice President John Watt; Erin Hurley, Chief Consulting Officer of Hurley Solutions; John Egan, Senior Vice President of Loans and Investments at Coastal Enterprises, Inc.; and Hawley Strait, Shareholder at Bernstein Shur.
NBT Bank established a presence in New England with the opening of its Vermont Regional Headquarters in Burlington in 2009. Since then the bank has expanded in New England through organic growth and acquisitions to 16 locations in four states—Vermont, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine. Today, NBT bank has over 90 employees and nearly $1 billion in loans in New England. NBT Bank has a total of 155 locations in all, including 139 in upstate New York and northeastern Pennsylvania. The bank and its parent company, NBT Bancorp Inc., are headquartered in Norwich, N.Y. NBT Bancorp had assets of $8.3 billion as of December 31, 2015.
