Karen Glass – a professor on the Colchester Campus of Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences – was recently awarded a $384,000 research grant from the Nat’l Institutes of Health (NIH).
But what’s even more impressive is the fact that she received the highest score possible on her NIH grant application. That achievement puts her in the top 1% of all applicants in the country!
And her ties to the state go beyond just working for a Colchester-based college. She grew up in Essex Junction and received her Ph.D. (in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics) from UVM.
