Six new hospital board of trustee appointments made within The University of Vermont Health Network

The University of Vermont Health Network announces six Board of Trustees appointments at member hospitals.

The University of Vermont Health Network – Central Vermont Medical Center

Sandy Rousse

Sandy Rousse, CPA, is the President and CEO of Central Vermont Home Health & Hospice (CVHHH). Sandy also serves on the finance committees of the hospital and of OneCare Vermont, and is on the board of CHAC (Community Health Accountable Care ACO). She is also serving her first term as the President of the VNAs of Vermont.

Marilyn B. White

Marilyn B. White was recently elected president of the Central Vermont Medical Center Auxiliary. She was employed for 36 years at Chittenden Bank, retiring in 2001 as the assistant vice president and assistant branch manager. She’s been on the CVHHH Board of Directors and served for several years as the secretary of the Montpelier Kiwanis.

Thomas Rency

Thomas Rency has also recently served on the Champlain Valley Health Network Board. A Central New York native, Rency has enjoyed a long career in accounting and finance, and has served as the chief financial officer for a number of major North Country firms over the past two decades.

John J. Dwyer Jr.

John Dwyer is President and Chief Executive Officer of the New England Federal Credit Union, located in Williston, Vermont. He has been with the Credit Union since 1987, when he was hired as Vice President of Finance. In 2006, he was named President and Chief Operations Officer and stepped into his current role in 2010. He has a BS in business administration from the University of Vermont (1984) and an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (2000). Dwyer became a Certified Public Accountant in 1987. He is a Certified Credit Union Chief Executive and serves on national and regional committees for credit union trade groups. He has also served on a number of local nonprofit Boards, currently The University of Vermont Children’s Hospital’s Community Advisory Council and the Board of the Lake Champlain Regional Chamber of Commerce. From 2010 to 2013, he served on the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston’s Community Financial Institution Advisory Council.

James B. Foster

Jim Foster attended Burlington schools and graduated from The Colorado College. After college, eager to return to Burlington, he pursued parallel careers as co-owner of the Edlund Company, a global manufacturer of commercial kitchen equipment, and as a real estate developer and investor in Vermont and New Hampshire. He has been an active participant in a number of community organizations, having served as Board Chair of the Greater Burlington Industrial Corporation, The Flynn Theatre, Housing Vermont, the Committee on Temporary Shelter (COTS) and Champlain College.

Kerin E. Stackpole, Esq.

Kerin Stackpole is a Director at Paul Frank + Collins in Burlington, and is the leader of the

Employment and Labor Law Group. Her practice areas include employment law, business

counseling and general civil litigation. Stackpole is a native of Burlington, and is admitted

to practice law in Vermont, Maryland and the District of Columbia. She is an honors graduate of

the Washington College of Law, American University and Wheaton College in Norton,

Massachusetts. She has been recognized by her peers for her skill in labor and employment

law through inclusion in Chambers & Partners (USA), Best Lawyers of America and Super

Lawyers. She has served on numerous community Boards, including the VNA, Wake Robin and

Wheaton College.
