Bill Orleans, president of PP&D Brochure Distribution, has announced that he has purchased the Valley Vacation Coupons from Tom Shampnois.
“I’ve admired the Vacation Valley Coupons for decades. Tom has done a great job promoting tourism businesses in the Champlain Valley. I look forward to assisting his clients and the tourism community to continue those efforts,” says Orleans.
The Coupon Program was established over twenty years ago. Long time clients include: Shelburne Museum, Vermont Teddy Bear, Vermont Wildflower Farm, Dakin Farms, Spirit of Ethan Allen and the Windjammer Restaurant. Coupons are currently distributed to all advertisers and dozens of lodging properties. PP&D will now be adding coupon distribution to many of Vermont’s Highway Welcome Centers and Rest Stops, The Church Street Marketplace kiosk and the Waterfront Information Center.
“Bill has been in the tourism business for thirty-five years. He does a great job promoting hospitality businesses throughout the state. I cannot think of a better person and company to grow this coupon program for local businesses,” says Shampnois.
Shampnois, has been a full time realtor at Coldwell Banker Hickok & Boardman Realty in Burlington for over six years and he felt that it was time to turn over the management of the Vacation Valley Coupon due to the demands of his growing business.
PP&D, founded in 1981, has ten employees, and is headquartered on Pine Street in Burlington. They own over eight hundred displays and distribute brochures throughout most of Vermont and parts of New York and New Hampshire. They are also publishers of the BLUE MAP, distributing 220,000 copies to over four hundred locations.
Some of PP&D’s over 400 clients include: Lake Champlain Chamber, Magic Hat Brewery, Church Street Marketplace, Stowe Mountain Resort, Vermont Gift Barn, Lake Champlain Ferry, Skinny Pancake, Ben & Jerry’s, Jay Peak Resort, Cabot Creamery and the Vermont Attractions Association.
