Vermont Community Foundation has announced that the search for a new president has begun. The board of directors has appointed Felipe Rivera, who has been serving as the Foundation's vice president for strategy and communications, as interim president and CEO. Felipe joined the Community Foundation staff in 2004 and has been an integral part of developing long-term plans in ways that meet the needs of constituents while raising the organization's visibility throughout the state. He has more than 25 years of experience in the field of philanthropy, having worked in areas of grantmaking, program development, and communications.
The Community Foundation Board of Directors has named a committee to begin the search for a permanent replacement. The committee, led by Board Chair Tim Volk and Board Vice Chair Jake Wheeler, is planning to hire a search firm in the near future.
