Bill Reed Voice Studio presents CARPENTERS TRIBUTE CONCERT

Singer Sally Olson and her band (Bill Reed – piano, Arthur DeQuasie – bass and Nicola Cannizzaro – drums) will appear in concert on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 7:30pm at Spotlight Vermont in South Burlington (a fundraiser for the Bill Reed Musical Theatre Summer Intensive). Presented by Bill Reed Voice Studio, this show is part two (“Yesterday Once More”) of Sally Olson’s Carpenters Tribute Concert. Sally will appear in concert for the reprise of part one (“A Song For You”) with Timothy Guiles (piano and back-up vocals) on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 7:00pm at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Middlebury (a benefit concert for Charter House Coalition). In part one, Sally performs the brother-sister duo's greatest hits and covers. She also offers commentary on the history behind the Carpenters’ music, as well as Karen Carpenter’s rise to fame and her sudden and tragic death at the age of thirty-two, due to complications of anorexia nervosa. In part two, Sally performs many of the Carpenters’ greatest hits, covers, as well as unpublished selections from Karen’s solo album. Part two is a celebration of Karen as a great interpreter of music by beloved composers, including Hal David & Burt Bacharach and Rodgers & Hart, and also honors Karen's versatility as a solo artist.

Tickets: Part one in Middlebury on Jan. 23 - $15; Part two in South Burlington on Jan. 16 - $20 for adults, $10 for children under 12 and seniors.
