Sarah Hutchins wins Vermont Health Care Association’s Nursing Director of the Year Award

Sarah Hutchins, Director of Nursing at Wake Robin, Vermont’s leading Continuing Care Retirement Community, was named Vermont Health Care Association’s Nursing Director of the Year. VHCA is an advocate for quality care and collaboration between Vermont's residential care, nursing and long term care communities. The Award was presented at the organization’s Annual Conference and trade show.

“It’s an honor to be chosen for this prestigious award,” said Sarah Hutchins, Director of Nursing at Wake Robin. “To be recognized by peers and colleagues as a leader in our field is an amazing experience, and I look forward to continuing to bring the highest level of care and service to the residents of Wake Robin.”

Ms. Hutchins has been a member of Wake Robin’s Health Services team since 2008, and has over 20 years of experience in a multitude of settings. In addition to her role as Director of Nursing Services, Sarah also oversees clinical services for the Licensed Residential Care Neighborhood, the wellness center area, employee education, and family support in addition to managing a staff of 72.

“ Sarah is an exceptional ambassador for our community and is well respected by the physicians and other health care providers who work with her,” said Linda Phypers, Director of Health Services at Wake Robin. “She understands the importance of person centered care and demonstrates it consistently to the rest of the Wake Robin staff.”
