Brian Boardman of Coldwell Banker Hickok and Boardman Realty in Burlington, has been named the recipient of the Vermont Realtors® (VR) Good Neighbor Award.
“Each year, VR recognizes one individual who has made an extraordinary impact on their community through volunteer work,” said Isaac Chavez, CEO for Vermont Realtors®. “Brian has made an incredible difference in his community through his involvement in numerous community initiatives and non-profit organizations.”
Brian serves as Chair of the University of Vermont Medical Center Foundation Board of Directors. The foundation is responsible for raising funds for the medical center, with a goal of $27 million in 2015. He also volunteers for Spectrum Youth and Family Services, whose mission is to empower teenagers, young adults and their families through prevention, intervention and life skill services.
Brian is also a member of the Moran Plant’s Champion’s Council, helping to advocate for the revitalization of the Moran Plan into a community center on Lake Champlain.
Brian is also involved with COTS, the Lake Champlain Housing Trust, Chittenden County Food Shelf, and has held leadership positions including past Chair of the Flynn Center for the Performing Arts.
Boardman was honored during the VR Awards and Installation Banquet on Oct. 7 at the Hilton Hotel in Burlington. He will represent Vermont Realtors® as the state’s Good Neighbor at the National Association of Realtors® Conference and Expo in 2016.
