Vermont Tech welcomes Beth Demers as project manager of Continuing Education & Workforce Development

Vermont Tech has announced that Beth Demers has joined Vermont Tech as the new project manager of Continuing Education & Workforce Development (CEWD). Demers will be working with Vermont Tech’s CEWD corporate partners to help grow the programs and diversify the college’s offerings. Vermont Tech’s CEWD currently designs and delivers workforce education and training, including customized workshops, certificate courses, degree programs, and more.

“We’re pleased to have Beth join us here at Vermont Tech,” said President Dan Smith. “Her extensive experience in the workforce development field will be an invaluable addition to the team as we continue to grow our programs at the college along with our local business partnerships.”

Demers, a native Vermonter, worked with the Vermont Department of Economic Development for over 10 years where she met with employers across the state to identify their strategic employee training needs, and assisted with the development of partnerships between Vermont employers and training providers. This experience will be essential in sustaining the growth of Vermont Tech’s Continuing Education & Workforce Development office. Previously she worked at the University of Vermont Masters of Public Administration program and as a Qualitative Research Analyst at Kelliher, Samets, Volk. Demers received her B.A. in Education from Trinity College of Vermont.

“I’m looking forward to continuing to work with Vermont employers to ensure that their employees have the necessary skills for sustained success,” said Demers.
