Kristi Johnson, MS, PT, has transitioned from employee to owner at PT360. She is a physical therapist at their Shelburne location on Graham Way. Johnson joins 11 other owners in this uniquely structured employee-owned physical therapy cooperative.
Johnson is a certified lymphedema specialist dedicated to oncology rehabilitation. She also has extensive clinical experience treating TMJ (jaw joint disorders), work-related injuries (work site evaluation and patient treatment), joint replacements, spinal pain and general orthopedics. Johnson earned her master’s degree in physical therapy from the University of Colorado Health Science Center. She lives in Hinesburg with her husband and two daughters.
PT360 is the only employee-owned physical therapy practice in Vermont, and one of only a handful in the U.S. “It’s such a significant event when an employee transitions to ownership. It’s what the cooperative model is all about,” says president and founding owner Mary Steiger, PT. “After two years, PT360 employees are offered the option of becoming an owner. Sustainability is one of the strengths of the cooperative business model. We have owners at each of our three locations, Shelburne, Burlington, and Williston.”
