On Thursday, September 10th, the Burlington Business Association (BBA) is hosting its annual Summer Networking Social at Splash @ the Boathouse from 5-7:30 pm. This year’s Summer Social will honor the memory of former Splash owner, longtime BBA member, and the life of many a party, Barb Bardin.
The Island Times steel drum band, will set the tone for this Caribbean-themed event; a place near and dear to Barb's heart. During the event we will honor Barb's love of a good time, her creativity as an event planner and her contribution to Burlington with activities and a closing release of sky and water lanterns.
The event is being generously hosted by Splash @ the boathouse. Event sponsors include Leunig’s Bistro, Morway’s Moving & Storage, and Farrell Distributing. Bluebird BBQ is generously donating delicious food for the event. The evening will conclude with a Champagne toast to the memory of Barb and her inspiring life and love for Burlington.
A portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the University of Vermont Cancer Center and the Vermont Respite House in Barb's honor. Representatives from both organizations will be in attendance, with information about their individual missions and the work they do for cancer relief.
Registration will open at 5:00 pm. The event will last until 7:30 pm. Tickets are $25 for BBA members and $35 for non-members.
