At the June 4th Turrell Day at the Burlington Country Club, VSA Vermont was recognized as a finalist for the S. Whitney Landon Award for Start With The Arts (SWTA). Peggy Rainville, Director of Children’s Programming, accepted the award for VSA Vermont and is pictured at right with Curt Fields, President and CEO of the Turrell Fund, and Elizabeth W. Christie, Turrell Fund Board Member.
SWTA is VSA Vermont's inclusive, arts-based literacy program for the youngest Vermonters and intensive professional development program for childcare providers. If you are a home-based childcare provider, you can sign up for this award-winning program. Start With The Arts is accepting applications for the Fall 2015 session. The Fall semester is scheduled to begin in late October.
They have a limited number of openings for home-based providers to participate in this free program for children ages 0-5. Providers earn professional development hours for completing the program.
