Linda Berlin, Extension Professor in the Nutrition & Food Sciences Department and Director of UVM’s Center for Sustainable Agriculture, has been promoted to Extension Associate Professor.
Dr. Berlin has been a part of the University of Vermont since 1992. Her primary interest involves working across disciplines to better understand food system concerns and to identify approaches that have the potential to achieve multiple objectives related to consumers` needs and interests, the environment, and sustainable agriculture. Her work helps Vermonters to consider the range of factors, from personal preference to food availability and cost, that influence everyday food choices.
Established in 1994, the UVM Center for Sustainable Agriculture advances sustainable food and farming systems in Vermont and beyond by cultivating partnership, supporting innovative research and practices, and informing policy to benefit Vermont communities and the UVM campus.
