Two Coldwell Banker Hickok & Boardman agents receive special honors

Two Realtors from Coldwell Banker Hickok & Boardman received special recognition recently at the Northwestern Vermont Board of REALTORS, 2015 REALTORS of Distinction Awards Ceremony. Brian Boardman was the recipient of the “Good Neighbor” award for his extraordinary commitment to community volunteer work that has helped to make the community a better place to live. Bobbe Maynes was named a 2015 “Rookie All Star,” part of a five-member team of REALTORS who have demonstrated strong success and promise within the first two years of their real estate careers.

Boardman was lauded for his work at local homeless shelters, as well as for the many hours of volunteer work for Spectrum Youth and Family Services, the Flynn Theater, the Moran Champion Council, and as Chair of the University of Vermont Foundation Board, among many other leadership and volunteer positions he has held. “Brian is so giving of his time and expertise to many valuable causes. He does things quietly and just lets things happen,” said John Killacky, executive director of the Flynn Center for the Performing Arts. As winner of NVBR’s “Good Neighbor” Award, Boardman will be entered into awards program as a nominee at both the state and the National Association of REALTORS levels. Earlier this year Brian received the President’s Elite Award from Coldwell Banker, recognizing the top 2% of Coldwell Banker Sales Associates world-wide.

Maynes, formerly the Director of Communications and Development for United Way of Chittenden County for many years before retiring in 2013, was Vermont’s first Commissioner of Tourism & Marketing, and founder/owner of two local bed and breakfast Inns in Shelburne and Burlington. “It seems unconventional to refer to Bobbe as a rookie,” says Leslee MacKenzie, President/Owner of the Firm. “Bobbe’s professional reputation and keen business sense gained her immediate credibility and success in this new venture.”
