VHB has announced that Kaitlin O’Shea has joined our South
Burlington office as a Preservation Planner. Kaitlin has close to ten years
professional experience in historic documentation, regulatory permitting,
infrastructure assessment, and project management. Kaitlin brings an exciting
new skill set to the Vermont office and we are thrilled to add her
capabilities to the list of in-house services we offer our clients including
architectural survey, preservation and mitigation strategies, and compliance
documentation for Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act,
Section 4(f) of the DOT Act, and the Vermont Historic Preservation Act.
Kaitlin’s credentials meet the Secretary of the Interior’s Professional
Qualifications Standards. She brings an exciting mix of public and private
sector experience, having worked with a variety of state, local, and regional
clients. Most recently, Kaitlin served as a Historic Preservation Specialist
at the Vermont Agency of Transportation. Prior to that, she spent two years
as a Historic Preservation Consultant for the Town of Hartford, Vermont where
she was managed and conducted multiple oral history projects. When she’s
not working, Kaitlin continues to grow her passion for preservation and
exploration on her blog “Preservation in Pink.”
Kaitlin received her B.A. in Historic Preservation from University of Mary
Washington and completed her M.S. in Historic Preservation at the University
of Vermont.
