Upper Valley Young Professionals announces board of directors

The Upper Valley Young Professionals (UVYP) has announced the board of directors who will be leading the young professional networking organization’s fourth year. This includes the election of new officers of the board and chair positions, along with a new structure for the group of 21 to 35 year olds who call Upper Valley home, while encouraging others to do the same.

UVYP has implemented its new board structure that will allow it to become more self-sustaining and most useful to its members and the community. Newly elected Chair, Markell Ripps, explains, “We now have a chair person dedicated to each of our main focus areas and visionary goals that will provide our members with enhanced opportunities for social networking events, educational professional development seminars, and volunteer opportunities to give back to the Upper Valley. Our membership has doubled in the past year and along with it member enthusiasm and ability to give back to our community.” Newly elected Co-Chair, Matt Young, elaborates, “It is great to see new faces on the Board to give the sense of both continuity and evolution to the leadership of UVYP.”

About UVYP’s New Board Members:

Markell Ripps is a lawyer and partner at Grossman & Ripps, PLLC, located in Norwich, Vermont. She lives in rural Thetford, Vermont.

Matt Young is a graphic artist and the owner and operator of Apostrophe Press. He lives in White River Junction, Vermont. Matt volunteers with Granite United Way, who awarded him the 2011 Give Award for leadership, and his production co-op, the Appalachian Mortician’s Club, won 1st place in the annual 2014 CATV 48 Hour Film Slam competition.

Erin Martin is a ASQ certified reliability engineer at Hypertherm in Lebanon, New Hampshire. She recently purchased her first home in Enfield, New Hampshire.

Justin Loati is Information Systems Consultant Manager at Tyler, Simms, & St. Sauveur, CPAs, in Lebanon, New Hampshire. He lives in Enfield, New Hampshire.

Beth Culver is Creative Lead for Human Capital Institute. She lives in West Lebanon, New Hampshire, where she works from home. She is invaluable in her ability to connect young professionals to what is going on the Upper Valley.

Chloe Viner Collins is an Associate, Advocacy and Information, for the Vermont League of Cities and Towns. She lives in Randolph, Vermont. Chloe is a published poet.

Andrea Denhart serves as Communications Specialist for Mclane Law Firm in New Hampshire. Andrea lives in Lebanon, New Hampshire,

Gloria Todt is a Graphic Designer at Hutchens Media, LLC located right off the green in Lebanon, NH and she lives in White River Jct., Vermont.

Nicole LaBombard is the Program Coordinator for Partners for Community Wellness at Dartmouth-Hitchcock in Lebanon, New Hampshire, where she lives.
