Eva McKend joins WCAX as morning co-anchor

Eva McKend has joined the WCAX News Team after spending two years as a reporter at the Time Warner Cable News station in the Hudson Valley. During her time in the Greater New York City region, Eva covered many stories at the 24-hour cable news channel that received national and international attention. Before, Time Warner Cable News, she spent a summer as a Washington-based correspondent for Springfield, Missouri, CBS affiliate KOLR/KOZL.

Eva is proud to be with co-anchor Ali Freeman and Meteorologist Gary Sadowsky from 5 to 7 a.m.weekdays. She also is a regular contributor to other broadcasts as a reporter.

Eva is a graduate of Swarthmore College and earned her master's degree from the S.I. Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse University as a Turner Broadcasting Fellow.

She is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists.
