As part of the National Ski Areas Association (NSAA) Safety Week, Bromley turned to local JISP (Junior Instructional Ski Program) groups, passing out NSAA Kids’ Safety Poster Contest sheets. The JISPers are all local school kids that ski & ride at Bromley one afternoon each week, all season long. The contest is part of NSAA’s Safety Week, held each February.
Contest rules were to pick 1 of the 7 NSAA Responsibility Codes or 1 of the 4 Smart Style Elements (specific to freestyle terrain parks) and draw a picture to correspond with their chosen safety guideline. The First Prize winner will receive a Bromley Season Pass for the 2015/16 ski season, second prize wins 2 Sun Mountain Cards for the 2015/16 season, and 3rd prize is 2 tickets to the Mountain Adventure Park good anytime during the 2015 summer season.
The winners were: 1st Prize - Danika Orava of Manchester, VT
2nd Prize - Jack Martin of Ira, VT
3rd Prize - Kate Martin of Ira, VT
The three winners will have their posters sent to the NSAA headquarters in Lakewood, Colorado for the national contest.
Bromley Mountain is located at 3984 Vermont Route 11, Peru, Vermont, six miles east of Manchester.
