Burlington-Williston Church of the Nazarene welcomes new Pastor

After a thorough job search, the Board of Directors of the Burlington-Williston Church of the Nazarene is thrilled to announce that the Church District has approved the appointment of Andrew Magnuson as the church’s next pastor. Magnuson currently serves as the Intergenerational Discipleship Pastor for the Lowell First Church of the Nazarene in Massachusetts, where he lives with is wife, Susan, and their three children. He will begin his tenure as the church’s 18th Pastor on March 2, 2015.

“We couldn’t be more excited about this appointment,” said Church Board Secretary Pearl Wells. “He and his family will be a great fit for our church and the Burlington-Williston community. We feel like this could be the start of something very big in our community and we look forward to learning from, and growing and serving with, Pastor Magnuson and his family.”

"I can't wait to join the Burlington-Williston Church of the Nazarene, investing in our community by loving and serving God and others,” noted Pastor Magnuson. As the new leader settles in, he says the plan will be to engage the board and leadership team to invest in collective vision seeking and casting to help the church succeed in its goals. “The mission is not to be a country club of believers, but rather be a safe place for those seeking something bigger than themselves, and a place for love and encouragement for everyone."

All members of the greater Burlington area are invited to attend Pastor Magnuson’s first sermon on March 8th and join the church congregation for a luncheon celebration immediately afterward.
