Comcast unveils interactive Xfinity stores in Rutland and South Burlington

Comcast held a special reception and ribbon-cutting event to announce the grand opening of its interactive Xfinity Store in Rutland. The 1,700 square foot space has been redesigned entirely around the needs of customers, providing them with an opportunity to explore, learn about and interact directly with the latest Xfinity products and services.

Community leaders came out to help celebrate the opening and tour the new store. Steve Pouliot, Executive Director of the Vermont Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired, was in attendance to accept a surprise $1,000 donation made by Comcast to the organization.

“We’re proud to be a part of the Rutland community and excited to open this newly renovated Xfinity Store for our customers,” said Ray Allieri, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Comcast’s Western New England Region, which includes Vermont. “We designed this new store model keeping convenience and entertainment in mind, and we welcome everyone to visit us here to ask questions, manage your accounts and try out our latest technology.”

The renovated, interactive Xfinity Store is located at 299 North Main Street and open Monday through Friday from 10 am – 6 pm and Saturday from 9 am – 1 pm.

The 3,000 square foot space has been designed entirely around the needs of customers, providing them with an opportunity to explore, learn about and interact directly with the latest Xfinity products and services.

Community leaders came out to help celebrate the opening and tour the new store. Mary Burns, CEO of the Burlington YMCA, was also in attendance to accept a surprise $2,500 donation made by Comcast to the organization.

“We’re proud to be a part of the Greater Burlington community and excited to open this new Xfinity Store for our customers,” said Mary McLaughlin, Senior Vice President for Comcast’s Western New England Region, which includes Vermont. “We designed this new store model keeping convenience and entertainment in mind, and we welcome everyone to visit us here to ask questions, manage your accounts and try out our latest technology.”

The new, interactive Xfinity Store is conveniently located adjacent to University Mall. The South Burlington Xfinity Store is located at 205 Dorset Street and open Monday through Saturday from 9 am – 7 pm and, starting in February, Sunday from 11 am – 5 pm.

Both locations feature flat screen HD TVs, a comfortable seating area and informational displays where customers can learn more about Comcast’s products and services, including X1, Xfinity Home, and Comcast’s suite of mobile apps. Additionally, customers will receive personalized service from trained and knowledgeable Sales Consultants and more time-saving offerings, including self-service kiosks for quick bill pay and a new queuing system that allows customers to explore and be entertained while waiting for service.
