National Federation of Paralegal Associations announces Region V director

The National Federation of Paralegal Associations, Inc. (“NFPA”) is pleased to announce Laurie Noyes, RPÒ of Colchester, Vermont has been elected as the NFPA Region V Director.

Laurie Noyes, RP provides general litigation support to the Burlington, Vermont office of Primmer Piper Eggleston & Cramer PC. Laurie has worked in the legal field for over 20 years. Her case experience includes large complex and commercial litigation matters, toxic tort cases, medical and legal malpractice cases, insurance coverage and defense work, eminent domain and condemnation cases, and foreclosures.

In June 2010, Laurie achieved the esteemed PACE Registered Paralegal® designation through the National Federation of Paralegal Associations. She is one of only nine PACE Registered Paralegals® in Vermont.

Laurie is a member of the Vermont Paralegal Organization, and has served various positions on its Board, including Membership Committee Chair, NFPA Secondary Representative, NFPA Primary Representative, and Vice President. Laurie is also an associate member of the Vermont Bar Association, and a member of the Vermont Bar Association’s Paralegal Section. Laurie previously served as a member of NFPA’s Strategic Planning Committee.

Laurie is an active volunteer and pro bono advocate. In 2013, she oversaw the creation of a legal clinic for victims of domestic violence in Barre, Vermont, which she continues to facilitate on a monthly basis. She also volunteers her time with Pibbles & More Animal Rescue, performing home visits of potential adopters and participating in monthly adoption events.

Laurie earned her Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from Trinity College in Burlington, Vermont in 2001, and her Bachelors of Science Degree in Paralegal/Legal Studies from Woodbury, College in Montpelier, Vermont in 2004.

The Region Directors are responsible for the "humanization of NFPA" to local associations, and are the main liaison between member associations and other Board members.
