Kevin Dailey to lead SVHC human resources

Bringing more than 15 years of human resources experience and a background in law, Kevin Dailey of Arlington, Vt. will join the management team at Southwestern Vermont Health Care as its Vice President of Human Resources.

“I have a passion for healthcare. I served on the hospital’s Board of Trustees for four years and on the Safety & Quality Committee for three years before that,” Dailey said. “I have developed a great relationship with the leaders there.”

Dailey replaces Rudy Weaver, who retired in October after serving for a decade as the administrative director of Human Resources.

Dailey’s most recent position was as director of Human Resources for Mack Molding Company, Inc. in Arlington, Vt. Before that, he was partner in the legal firm of Dailey & Dailey, P.C. in Manchester, Vt.

SVHC employs 1,100 people and is the largest employer in Bennington County. It is the third largest health system in the state.

“Kevin brings valuable expertise to this important role in our organization,” said Thomas Dee, SVHC president and CEO. “He knows our health system and its values. We are eager to have him join our team.”

Dailey is an ardent volunteer. In addition to his past roles with SVHC, he has served the Arlington Rescue Squad, the Bennington County Bar Association, the United Way and others.

Dailey holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Vermont and a Juris Doctor degree from Vermont Law School.

“The people behind organizations like SVHC are its greatest asset, and I look forward to meeting them and to seeing how I can contribute to the ongoing success of SVHC,” Dailey said.

Dailey will begin work at SVHC in early January.
