The Stern Center for Language and Learning announces two new members to its board

The Stern Center for Language and Learning, a nonprofit learning center with locations in Williston, Vermont and West Lebanon, New Hampshire, elected the following new members to its Board of Directors during its 31st Annual Meeting on October 16, 2014: Bud Meyers of Colchester, VT is the Founding Director of Lighthouse Evaluation. He previously served as Director for the James Jeffords Center for Policy Research, and worked as the Deputy Commissioner for the Vermont State Department of Education. Pat Thornton of Williston, VT is the Principal at Thornton Investment Management Registered Investment Advisory firm. He has served for the last four years as chairman of the finance committee at COTS. "I am both grateful and excited about serving on the Stern Center Board. Although I have been in the finance industry for 30 years, my heart has always been in education." ### The Stern Center for Language and Learning is a nonprofit dedicated to helping children and adults reach their academic, social and professional goals. We provide research-based learning evaluations, personalized instruction and communication services for all students, including those with learning disabilities, dyslexia, language disorders, autism, attention deficit disorders and learning style differences. We also design and deliver customized professional learning programs on early literacy, oral language, reading, written language, social cognition, executive functioning and math through our Cynthia K.
