Major General Steve Cray celebrated a long military tradition on Saturday September 6, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. as Brigadier General Michael Heston assumed the position as the Assistant Adjutant General-Army of the State of Vermont from Brigadier General Brian Carpenter.
The ceremony took place at the Green Mountain Armory, in Colchester, and witnessed by the men and women of the Vermont Army and Air National Guard. The ceremony culminated with the passing of the Green Mountain Boy Flag from Brigadier General Carpenter to Brigadier General Heston, symbolizing the transition of leadership from one to the other.
