Mercy Connections is proud to be the beneficiary of the first annual Spare Time golf tournament held at Essex Country Club earlier this month. They thank Rick Hubbart, Spare Time Lanes General Manager, and Charlie Hewitt, Assistant Manager, for their dedication and generosity toward the community.
Fourteen teams played the Essex Country Club on a beautiful August morning to support Mercy Connections. The first annual event was a great success complete with generous sponsors, spirited players, countless mulligans (for a good cause!) and an afternoon of great fun. The tournament was played as a four-person scramble and was followed by a celebration dinner hosted at City Sports Grille in Colchester.
Hubbart thanks generous supporters and sponsors for a successful day, “We couldn't have had a better day or picked a better organization to start our first annual fundraiser. Everyone had a great time with great food and friends. Thanks to Vermont Tent, Pizzeria Verita, Bowl New England, Farrell Distributing, Baker Distributing, Ernie Thompson, and all the participants for helping us raise nearly $3,000.00 for the day. “
