GSN is baring it all this summer with its new original series, SKIN WARS, premiering on August 6 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT.
SKIN WARS, hosted by actress Rebecca Romijn, is an eight-episode, hour-long competition show that seeks to find the most talented and versatile body painters in the country. Judges include legendary entertainer RuPaul and body painting icons Craig Tracy and Robin Slonina. The series will feature guest appearances by Lynda Carter (Wonder Woman) and Carson Kressley (Queer Eye, Dancing with the Stars) and is executive produced by Michael Levitt of Michael Levitt Productions (Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List, Ask Oprah’s All Stars, Billboard Music Awards), Jill Goularte, Colleen Sands and Rebecca Romijn. Craig Tracy and Robin Slonina serve as producers.
In each episode, the contestants will test their creativity, talent and artistic technique as they participate in a series of mesmerizing body painting challenges that all promise amazing reveals. The contestant with the least compelling creation will be asked to wash off their canvas and leave the competition.
Over the course of the series, ten contestants will be stripped down to three finalists, who will compete in the high-stakes finale. The winner of SKIN WARS will receive a $100,000 cash prize, one-year supply of paint and will be the featured guest artist at IMATS, the premiere body painting trade show in New York City.
