Chris Hovious has joined Eastman Benz as operations and assembly team lead in Winooski.
A native Vermonter, Chris grew-up in Gaysville and is yet another Vermont Technical College graduate to be recruited by Eastman Benz. He’s currently immersed in learning the various production lines with a focus on uncovering process flow optimization opportunities and implementing LEAN, 5S, and other quality improvements. Chris was formerly with Logic Supply (seven years), prior to that he was with a web design/host/ISP for four years. “As a small contract manufacturer we’re fortunate to be able to recruit someone of Chris’ caliber”, says Dan Eastman, President and co-owner of Eastman Benz. “His experience in cutting edge technology and manufacturing is exactly what we need as our business steps up to the next level”. When he’s not in the office Hovious enjoys snowboarding and hiking, he lives in Burlington’s New North End with his wife and two yellow labs.
