Co-operative Insurance Companies promotes officers

Co-operative Insurance Companies' board of directors promoted one and named new two company officers at its April meeting.

Brad Fortier moved into the position of Executive Vice President of Operations, and has taken on oversight of claims and IT as well as marketing, underwriting and farm safety. Fortier joined Co-op's Marketing department in June, 2008, and became Senior VP of Marketing and Underwriting in December, 2010. Prior to beginning his career at Co-op, Fortier held marketing and management positions with Vermont Mutual and with Champlain Casualty Company in Montpelier. Fortier is a graduate of Champlain College, holds AAI and CIC designations, and resides in Berlin.

Brian Wiles was named Vice President of Claims and SIU. Wiles joined Co-op as Property Claims Manager in April, 2013, and was promoted to Claims Manager in September. Prior to Co-op, Wiles worked for Progressive Insurance managing property claims field staff across Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. He also has a background in retail sales and volunteers as a youth hockey coach in Middlebury.

The board also named Randall Roy Vice President of Marketing. A graduate of Norwich University, Roy joined Co-op in 2013 as Marketing Director. In more than 30 years in the insurance industry, he has held a number of marketing and management positions with regional carriers, and was president and CEO of Champlain Casualty Company.

In addition to above positions, the following officers round out the executive management team at Co-operative Insurance Companies; Marie Jewett, CEO and President, David Tatlock, CFO and Senior Vice President of Finance, Eric Rhoades, Senior Vice President of Information Services, John Condon, Vice President of Underwriting and Farm Safety, Gina Larrow, Vice President of Human Resources.
