The Board of Directors of Navicate, Inc., a Vermont non-profit organization founded in 1998 is pleased to announce Andrea Silva McManus, Ed.D. will be the new Executive Director starting on May 5. Dr. Silva McManus takes the reins from Founding Executive Director Rich Tulikangas who will be leaving the organization after 16 years to pursue new opportunities. Tulikangas has led Navicate since its inception and guided it from a nonprofit serving a single school district (Burlington) to a statewide organization that annually engages over 50 middle and high schools, 500 employers, and more than Navicate's mission is to improve the educational success and career prospects for youth through school, business and community partnerships. It is one of the most successful School to Work/Career and College Readiness organizations in the United States.

Over the years, Rich has built an incredibly successful organization and Andrea will take it to the next level, along with Navicate's very talented and capable staff."
Dr. Silva McManus, an early advocate of school-to-career programs with the Boston Private Industry Council, comes to Navicate with over 28 years of experience in leadership, higher education teaching and administration, business development and customer service. Dr. Silva McManus shared, "I have been offered the job of my lifetime and will work tirelessly to help youth prepare, connect, aspire and achieve. I cannot wait to get started!"
