On Thursday, January 23, 2014, from 5:30-7:00 p.m., New England Federal Credit Union (NEFCU) held the official Grand Opening for its new branch in St. Albans, located at 295 Tuckers Way. On hand for the event for NEFCU were President and CEO John Dwyer, Board Chair Charles DesLauriers, members of senior management and project staff, and the St. Albans branch staff. Representatives from the architectural firm Freeman French Freeman, general contractor Breadloaf Construction, and Ruggiano Engineering were in attendance. President Joseph Bergeron represented the Vermont Association of Credit Unions.
According to NEFCU’s John Dwyer, “We are pleased to offer St. Albans and Franklin County this new array of full member services with cutting-edge technology in the most advanced and user-friendly setting possible.”
Groundbreaking for the project took place on May 10th, 2013. The branch officially opened for business on Monday, Dec. 9th, 2013.
Services at the branch now include:
• Tellers
• Consumer, mortgage, and commercial lending
• Deposit accounts and services
• Three drive-up lanes with two tellers and an ATM
• Insurance and investment services
• Walk-up ATM
• Member self-service area.
