The Vermont Teddy Bear Co’s Bear Crew has grown in the last few months. The Sourcing department has hired Matthew Mole as the Director of Strategic Sourcing. In this role, Matt will implement methods, practices and techniques to ensure the most efficient flow of materials from sourcing to receiving dock. Matthew has a history in organic textiles. He created the first complete global supply chain for certified organic wool from farm to finished product. Also joining the Sourcing department was Sarah Hays. Sarah is VTB’s new Off Shore Coordinator. In this role she will coordinate offshore purchasing activities with the Sourcing, Technical Design, Quality Control and Product development teams. Prior to joining the Bear Crew Sarah was the Production Manager at a photo studio in Burlington.
The Technical Design department hired Angela Lavalla as a Technical Designer. Angela will be responsible for developing high quality, cost effective garments while maintaining brand integrity. Prior to VTB Angela worked as a freelance designer for women’s formal and bridal wear working in Los Angeles, CA.
The Production Development Team welcomed Danila Young as the Product Development Manager, a new role at VTB. Danila will be responsible for developing Pajamagram and Vermont Teddy Bear products that will maximize sales and profitability. Danila comes to VTB from The Vermont Country Store where she worked as the Senior Product Development Manager.
The Bear Crew also welcomed another Vermont Country Store alumnus, Rachel Maiori. Rachel joined the Merchandising department as the Pajamagram Catalog and Web Merchandiser. In this role, Rachel will be responsible for merchandising the Pajamagram line in catalog and online. On the Bear side of things, Abigail Temeles joined the Merchandising department as the Bear Merchandising Coordinator. In this role she will be responsible for the development and execution of merchandising strategies that drive sales across the business. Prior to VTB, Abigail was an Ecommerce Analyst at Kate Spade in New York, NY.
Tamba Landu-Colin joined the Marketing department as a Marketing Analyst. Tamba is a St. Michael’s College Alumni who worked for People’s United Bank prior to joining the Bear Crew.
VTB’s Information Technology department welcomed Michael Abbott into an Application Developer role. In this position Michael will develop and maintain enterprise and web application code and features of the Company’s enterprise and website applications. Prior to VTB Michael was a Programmer at MyWebGrocer. Also joining this department was Claude Hebert as a Senior Web Developer. Claude will develop and maintain web application code, dynamic content, and the advanced features of the Company’s websites. Before his time at VTB, Claude worked as a Developer for a media company.
