Two new board members were announced to have joined Community Capital of Vermont: Joan Goldstein and Ela Chapin. Joan is the executive director of the Green Mountain Economic Development Corporation and she has over twenty years working in financial services as well as experience as an entrepreneur and SBDC business advisor.
Ela is the Director of the Farm Viability Program at the Vermont Housing & Conservation Board. The Farm Viability Program is a national leader in providing business planning assistance to locally owned farms. Ela is also chair of the Farm to Plate Technical Assistance Working Group. Community Capital of Vermont is a statewide small business and microenterprise lender. Loans range in size from $1,000 to $100,000 and can be used for business start-up or growth and expansion.
